Red Silk Velvet and Citrine Bud Vase Stem

Single deep red silk velvet rose stem made for a bud vase. Perfect for a side table or desk or even as an alternative for a flower girl to carry. The deep red double face silk velvet petals are hand cut and pressed in the studio then painted ever so lightly to deepen certain areas. The beaded stamen center of this rose is a genuine citrine gemstone base that is accented with crystals and CZ. 

Each petal has a concealed wire to give this piece stability and a sculptural quality. The short stem is covered in hand dyed silk dupioni.

Creating these elaborate pieces in the studio lovingly by hand takes many hours using antique flower making tools. Every petal and leaf is cut and pressed by hand before assembly.
