A very special champagne silk velvet flower bridal sash that was created by hand dyeing white silk velvet with black iris flowers. The color turned into this tempting champagne hue.
The velvet was then hand cut and pressed in the studio using Victorian-era tools exclusive to the studio to create a single bloom. Many of these petals are braced with floral wire to help it keep its form. Centered using a silver crystal flourish.
The flower measures just over 4 inches in diameter (about 11 cm).
It is attached to an imported double face ivory satin ribbon sash that measures 1 inch wide and 3 yards long.
Each piece has its own nature. Like a painting, something similar can be made, but never the exact same piece twice.
