Bespoke Couture Bouquets, Made to Be Kept

Every Marie Livet commission begins with a single idea: that the flowers you carry on the most important day of your life should not fade. Each bouquet is designed for one bride and made entirely by hand in our Washington State studio, then delivered to clients around the world as an heirloom to be treasured for generations.

We work in hand-cut silk and silk velvet, gold and silver leaf, sterling silver, pearls and precious stones, with rare materials chosen for the pieces that call for them. Many pieces are shaped on Victorian-era tools exclusive to the studio, the way couture florals were made a century ago. Each piece has its own nature. Something similar can be made, but never the exact same piece twice.

“I just love my bouquet, it's part of my living room decoration now and it just makes my heart smile every time I see it.”

The Commission Process

Hand-shaped sterling silver dogwood bloom made in the Marie Livet studio

1. Consultation. We begin with a private conversation about your wedding, your gown, your palette and the story you would like your bouquet to tell.

2. Design. Marie develops a design concept for your piece, from the shape and scale of the bouquet to the flowers, leaves and finishing details.

3. Materials. Silks, velvets, pearls, crystals, metal leaf and gemstones are selected and color-matched to your vision.

4. Crafting. Every petal and leaf is cut, shaped and assembled by hand in the studio.

5. Delivery. Your finished bouquet is carefully packed and shipped to you, wherever you are in the world.

Lead Time

Commissions take on average 8 to 12 weeks, depending on the style. More complicated designs need additional time. We recommend booking your commission at least twelve weeks before your wedding, and earlier where possible, to allow time for consultation, design and handwork.

Investment

Because every piece is designed from the beginning for its bride, the final investment reflects your style choices, including size, materials and complexity, and is confirmed during your consultation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will my bouquet last?
Yes. Made from silk, pearls, crystal, metal and gemstones rather than fresh flowers, your bouquet is designed to be kept and displayed for a lifetime.

Can you match my gown or wedding colors?
Yes. Color and material matching is part of every commission. Inspiration images are always welcome.

Do you ship internationally?
Yes. The studio is based in Washington State and ships worldwide.

Can I commission a piece similar to one in Past Commissions?
Yes. Each piece in Past Commissions now lives in a private collection, and each may inspire a new bespoke design. Every piece has its own nature, so something similar can be made, but never the exact same piece twice. Choose Commission a similar piece, or begin a private enquiry and mention the piece you love.

Do you create pieces other than bridal bouquets?
Yes. The studio also accepts commissions for boutonnieres, hair combs, display stems and other floral pieces, each made with the same couture materials and handwork.

How do I care for my bouquet?
Keep your bouquet out of direct sunlight and away from moisture. Display and store it upright, ideally in a vase, so its shape is preserved for years to come.
